Nanopatterned Silicon & Other Materials
LightSmyth offers a range of single crystal silicon pieces with various nanopatterns. Patterns include constant-pitch straight lines (1200-7200 lines/mm), curved lines, and composite straight-line patterns wherein the silicon surface is divided into many sub-mm size facets each of which has a straight line pattern with a unique pitch and angular orientation. Constant pitch gratings have line spacing accuracy and uniformity to better than 1 part in 104.
Nanopatterns available are described in more detail in the diffraction grating product section. Any pattern may be ordered as pure silicon by using the grating part numbers and placing Si in the location normally used to describe the diffraction grating's front surface metalization.
Note that nanopatterned materials other than silicon, such as described in the transmission grating product section are also available. Special order patterns in glass, fused silica, polymer, and other materials may be available on special order. Please call or email to enquire.
